• Biography

I was born in June 1979 in Lisbon, Portugal.
I talked a lot, including with my imaginary friends, and pretended I knew hot to read at age 4.
When I finally could read and write, I decided I wanted to be a writer. My parents still hold my first books, handwritten and illustrated by me.
Anyway, I grew up and got interested in journalism, so I took a degree in Communication. Then I grew a little more and got interested in advertising, so I became a copywriter.

Still, it couldn't spend all my creativity on the job, so I began writing and writing and writing until one day I realized I had a whole book in my head! Thirty Something (nothing's how we dreamed it would be), my debut novel. With that book, I became the first Portuguese author to reach Amazon Top 100. It may not sound like it, but it's a big deal.

I also published "The Strange Year of Vanessa M." and "Things a Mother Discovers (and no one talks about)".
My dream is to write full-time. But until that day comes (and I know it will come!) I live happily in one of the most beautiful cities in the world (Lisbon) with my husband, children, and Gucci, the cat.
